Graduation 2016
Majan's 21st Graduation ceremony was held in Al Noor Hall. Congratulations to the 800+ students who graduated from Dip HE, Bachelors and Masters programmes!
Academic staff awarded PhD

Congratulations to both 'Dr. Tahseen Arshi', Director of Studies in the Faculty of Business Management and 'Dr. D. Ram', Senior Lecturer in IT who have earned their PhD Award by the University of Bedfordshire, UK!

Institutional Standard Assessment

This December, Majan went through stage 2 of the 'Institutional Standard Assessment' by the 'Oman Academic Accreditation Authority'. A panel of international reviewers spent 4 days at the College, reviewing all Majan's operations.

Oman Economic Review 2016
In the 'Oman Economic Review 2016', Majan became the 3rd most trusted brand in higher education in Oman for 2016.
Student Advisory Council
A massive 'thank you' goes to all the members of the student advisory council (SAC) who have worked so hard this last year. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the SAC members. Majan is very grateful for all their dedication and hard work! The photography club's photography course run by the SAC has now finished and those attending have received attendance certificates.
Poster Presentations
BA(Hons) English Language students participated in two poster presentations this month, one on 'Communication' and the other on 'Key Personalities who have Inspired Them'. Well done to the students who all displayed a high level of creativity in their designs.
Product Pitches
Product Pitches were presented by Level 1 Undergraduate Students of English Language Modules from the Business and IT Faculties. A wide variety of products were presented including products using renewable energy, helping people to recycle, helping wheelchair users and many more useful products.
Published Article
Mr. Ijaz from the Faculty of Information Technology had an article published in the 'Australian Journal of Forensic Sciences' last month titled 'Electronic crime investigations in a virtualised environment: a forensic process and prototype for evidence collection and analysis'. 
Prophet Muhammad's Birthday
Shikh Falah Alwihibi gave an informative lecture about Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, after which Mohammad Alwihibi and Hisham Alsihili gave Nasheed about the event.

Congratulations to Ms. Aliya, whose short story book won 1st place at the 'Al Roya Youth Initiative Awards' this month!
