On the 16th of October, Majan University College marked the 4th International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating. Various activities took place in the College including a graffiti wall, online quiz, photo frame, awareness brochures and stickers. There was a high level of participation from both students and lecturers. Contract cheating refers to the act of paying someone else to complete your academic assignment and thus receiving an award that you don't deserve. It is an issue all round the world, which is why the The International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI), a U.S. based non-profit organisation sponsors this international day of action each year. Majan University College takes academic integrity very seriously and has a long partnership with Turnitin, the leading plagiarism detection service. They are proud to see how seriously their students took the activities today and look forward to the positive impact it has on their work and ultimately to wider society.
